Additional Notes of a Technical Nature: This the result of a successful implementation of Adobe Photoshop's 32-bit high dynamic range feature. Simply put, it involves the capture of a digital photograph and then capturing preciselty the same photo several times altering only the exposure. A solid tripod is essential,as any movement or wind are deal-breakers. When the 2-5 photos are combined into HDR image files the effects can range from amazing to horrible. With a little work, the technique is useful for combining different exposures to avoid the High Key blow-outs or the underexposed shadows. My peaceful little creek in the Napa Valley just seemed to get a richness of dimension without high contrast when created as a 32 bit high Dynamic Range Image.
